Many programmes aim at empowering women. This includes vocational trainings, legal and medical camps etc., ther were also health checkups for the parents as well as the Tribal population in the Sahapur Taluka, Bhiwandi Taluka. Legal awareness programmes organised for the women.
The Prem Seva Mahila Mandal (PSMM), ( Love & Service Women`s Organization ) Kalyan, Thane District, Maharashtra, focuses primarily on the uplift of the downtrodden : Women of the lower middle class group, Widows and Domestic workers, and has been in existence since the year 2001. The brainchild of Mr. and Mrs. James and Stella Morais the Mandal has a variety of activities such as:

12. | Financial inclusion importance of savings. Women from the nearby adhivasi villages are taught to saveand on serious topics like conservation of forest by not cutting down valuable teakwood trees. Gobar gas projects and Solar stove project is in the pipeline |
The mandal networks and co-operates with likeminded NGO’s & individuals, corporates. It has always promoted and encouraged the involvement of like-minded individuals and their co-operation in running programmes for the children.
The mandal works with the Municipal schools where the children are from economically poor background, where the volunteers teach them spoken English as well as games for the mental development of the children.
In order to allow the children to grow with books, library with books to expose children to outside world and encourage their imagination, creativity and motivate them to become “SOMEONE” in the society, to enhance reading habits in the older ones thus making the learning process joyful.
